Jay Aiello joins the Ohio RTC

We are very excited to announce that Jay Aiello will be joining the Ohio Regional Training Center as a resident athlete. Aiello is an 2022 NCAA All American and a 2023 U23 Bronze Medalist from the University of Virginia. After college, trained at the Penn RTC in Philadelphia where he elevated his senior freestyle career by making 2 US National Teams, taking a bronze medal at the Zagreb open, and won the Kunayev Open in Kazakstan by defeating the defending world champion. We are very excited to get Jay in the room and to help him continue to grow into the senior level.

“Getting senior level guys with experience is huge game changer for our room. We have had great freestyle success at the Ohio RTC and we think Jay is a great person to help kick off a new era here at Ohio State. I have competed against Jay throughout my career, and know the kind of person he is and the work he puts in is a great formula for success.” -Kollin Moore, RTC Coach

“Jay is the type of guy we have. been looking for in our RTC. He has been competing at a high level for a long time, and will be in the mix to make an Olympic team in 2028. Not only is he. great competitor, he will be able to train and mentor our younger athletes. I am very excited to start working with Jay towards his Olympic and World level goals.” Logan Stieber, RTC Coach
